An extra date has been added to Louise Distras + Rob Galloway's tour of Holland next month. We will now be visiting Amsterdam on Thursday 17th May.

As you may or may not have already heard, The Yalla Yallas are currentley on an extended hiatus. We have no plans to make any further music together at this time, nor do we have any plans to play any gigs. We are all still friends and I'm sure that we will do something together again someday.

Our drummer Matt has joined Kliene Schweine and they have already released a couple of singles and had some airplay. Check them out at http://kleineschweine.bandcamp.com/.

Will is also currently working on some other musical projects and I shall update you as and when we get some news of them.

As for myself I've already played two low key solo acoustic dates this year, I've had a rehearsal with a new group and bashed out some new songs. I have also started work on some other projects which I shall update you with later in the year.

I shall also be playing this years Strummercamp Festival which yet again has a cracking line up including ... New Model Army, Jim Jones Revue, Goldblade, Neck, and many many many more including my good friend Louise Distras get your tickets here http://www.strummercampfestival.co.uk/

THANKYOU'S

Thanks to everyone who bought tickets to our show at The Cockpit in Leeds on Wednesday and came along and voted. The night was a cracker ... Couldn't have asked for anything more. Also a big thankyou to everyone who came to see us at Unity Day yesterday - Thanks to Grant Henderson (Producer of our albums at Loom Studios) for standing in on Drums, and also to Louise Distras who played guitar and sang backing vocals on the majority of the set. It was so much fun.

BAD NEWS

Unfortunately we didn't make it through to play Leeds Festival from our gig on wednesday night ... Stage invasion, Selling out al your tickets, Crowd singing along, Jumping on Bars, and a red hot band playing an ace rock n roll show are evidently not whats required to play Leeds + Reading Rock Festivals. Someone please enlighten us. Anway ... Well done to the winners The Coopers ... I'm sure they will thrive with a crowd wearing Rancid, System of a Down, My Chemical Romance, Metallica, Guns n Roses T-Shirts ... ;) ... Go check them out

Hello Everybody

It's July now and our Futuresound Final is fast approaching ... We are in with a very good chance of actually playing Leeds + Reading Festivals - Which would be super cool awesome, and we would like everyone to come down and support us. The final is on Wednesday 20th July at The Cockpit in Leeds (Right next to Leeds Train Station). Tickets on the night will be £5 on the door and advance tickets from http://www.theyallayallas.com/store are £2 each however they are going very fast. Thanks to everyone who has bought a ticket so far they will be posted out this weekend. Whether we get through to the festival or not this is going to be one of our biggest gigs of the year.

In other news there is plenty going on at our website http://www.theyallayallas.com - You can find links to all our music, merch, and videos.

We have also been confirmed to play this years Unity Day Festival in Leeds we will be on the Bands Stage but I cannot tell you the date (However it is usually a Saturday, and it will be in July + it is after our Futuresound gig ;) )
