As you may or may not have already heard, The Yalla Yallas are currentley on an extended hiatus. We have no plans to make any further music together at this time, nor do we have any plans to play any gigs. We are all still friends and I'm sure that we will do something together again someday. The Yalla Yallas performed a very special set at thsi years ELFM Musicathon. This set was performed full band and acoustic also including Louise Distras on guitar and backing vocals. Thanks to everyone who came down to our gig at Milos on Saturday night .. It was excellent ... Very very bus ... Great Audience interaction ... I even got a dance with Super Mario. Also thanks to everyone at ELFM on Sunday it was an honour to be the act that took the event over the 24 hour mark ... Thanks to all who tuned in at home too ... There will be some updates over the next few days containing audio and video footage from the event.

Louise Distras joined Rob Galloway for two songs on Sunday night at Fernades in Wakefield to complete the city's very first Long Division Festival. If you look in the videos section you will find 'Under Attack' and 'Retaliation' for your viewing pleasure.

The Yalla Yallas have been succesful in their application to compete at the finals on this years Futuresound Competition. 6 Winners will be selected from a final 40 and will go on to play at this years Reading + Leeds Festivals. Details of Tickets and availability will be announced by the end of the week. 

Rob Galloway has been asked to close ELFM's annual 24 Hour Live Musicathon. The event which is held for 24 Hours over Sat 18th June and Sun 19th June will close with a very special set at 2.30pm. If you remember back to last years event The Yalla Yallas played a treat of a set including an array of instruments like Banjos, Saxaphone, Guest Vocalists. Rob has promised an attempt to surpass that this year. More info to follow.
